M/V Paul Johansen

The MV Paul Johansen represents the ultimate experience in style and comfort with her classic lines and large interior spaces. This former Norwegian search & rescue ship is now set up as a go anywhere expedition vessel accommodating up to six guests in three well appointed spacious cabins. She is set for any remote discovery or a relaxed cruise along the coast.

State-of-the-art equipment combined with extended range offers the opportunity for unique exploration and far-flung expeditions in a fully converted small ship. The ‘P.J.’ as we affectionately call her, is ideal for your active and adventurous dream holiday. MV Paul Johansen has retained all of its working vessel robustness but has evolved into an extremely comfortable world cruiser. She has all of the modern comforts with a beautiful cherry wood interior, state of the art electronics, appliances and features a variety of luxuries and toys.

The M/V Paul Johansen is an ideal environment for fun and relaxation; the large salon and open galley are informal, elegant and comfortable. The salon opens to a dining area and bar on the aft deck. The upper sun deck is spacious and is fitted with teak steamer chairs and has an additional observation deck atop the wheel house. There is plenty of space to be together with your friends and family or to find your own serene space to sunbathe or read a book.

We have a friendly and professional crew of two to welcome you aboard. Sail with us and allow the M/V P.J. be your fun, stylish home away from home.

The M/V Paul Johansen is based in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean for the winter months. We are pleased to offer a variety of charter options for the winter of 2020, or we can help you design your own small ship adventure.

EXAMPLE: Grenada 7 Days

Grenada is a picture perfect island with rolling mountains, rivers, stunning waterfalls that cascade into clear pools, tropical rainforest, a crater lake, volcano, natural parks and plenty of forest hikes to scenic vistas. The M/V Paul Johansen chose the island destination for her beautiful bays largely undiscovered by mass tourism.

Grenada known as the ‘Isle of Spice’ for its nutmeg trees, offers more than forty unspoilt, perfect white and black sand beaches spread across the coastline. This island nation consist of Grenada plus six smaller islands. Grenada’s out laying islands are home to nesting seabirds and turtles. Grenada also attracts snorkelers and divers with pristine reefs, protected marine areas, an underwater sculpture park, and a historic ship wreck to dive.

For those who enjoy the simple pleasures of life the island has several small chocolate factories, cocoa producers, rum distilleries, local farms and houses surrounded in flowers. The local people are proud of their folklore and are welcoming to visitors.
